hotel roomHOTELS/MOTELS:

Many of the hotels and motels of Citrus County are locally owned and operated, though a few with more familiar names are available. The goal of those operating these establishments is to make your stay comfortable and pleasant. For the most part, you’ll find Citrus County residents working here, making them an excellent source of information for any of your questions.

campingRV PARKS/CAMPGROUNDS

Citrus County has more than two dozen fine sites for camping or RV visits. No matter where you stop, you’ll find recreation resources close at hand. Many sites are alongside lakes or rivers, and you’ll often find on-site activities. Some camps have clubhouses with facilities for entertaining or group events such as lectures, nature talks and special presentations. The staff on hand can recommend places for your own interests, tell you where to rent equipment or hire guides, and often, make reservations for you.

FishingFISH CAMPS:

Once you have decided what you would like to fish for, you can determine whether you’re seeking freshwater or saltwater accommodations. Citrus County has numerous cabin-style accommodations near the best fishing spots.

If you would like to go even further and find that special spot that the locals always seem to know about, try asking them! Citrus County's regulars are usually ready to share a few secrets, although they may not provide directions to the spot where they caught that 10 pound bass last week!
