The Citrus Hills Women's Club (CHWC) is a social charitable organization established in 1986 for the purpose of meeting other women residents of Citrus Hills to form new friendships and together make a difference in the community. Membership is open to all women residents of the "The Villages of Citrus Hills." Annual dues are
$25.00 and run from June 1st to May 31st of each year. Membership meetings/luncheons are held the 2nd Wednesday of the month, September through May. Most meetings begin with lunch at 11:30 am, a program around 12:30 pm followed by the business meeting. Some committees include the Board of Directors, Ways & Means, Scholarship, Publicity, Hospitality, Newsletter & Distribution, etc. Activities include Birthday Parties, Barrington Bingo, Bunko, Book Review, Arts & Crafts and
Home & Garden. We have a Mistletoe Ball in December, High Tea in February, and a Mah-Jongg Tournament in March. CHWC holds many fundraising events though out the year which enables us to grant scholarships to local high school students and donations to local charities. A few of these events are*-Military Card Parties, Golf Scrambles, Fashion Show, Chinese Auction, Bake Sale, and Bunko Tournament--so you don't want to miss the fun. We encourage all our members to volunteer at local charitable organizations. A goal is set for CHWC members to volunteer a combined total of 5,000 hours per calendar year. Hours volunteered are submitted monthly to our Community Service Chairman for tracking purposes.
